Faculty member from School of Economics and Management gives keynote presentation at the annual conference of China Association of University-run Industries (CAUAI)
Recently, the 2024 Annual Conference of China Association of University-run Industries and Academic Symposium on Transformation and Industrialisation of Scientific and Technological Achievements of Universities was held in Chengdu.The conference was hosted by China Association of University-run Industries, organised by Sichuan University, and co-organised by Sichuan University Science and Technology Industry Group Co.The annual conference of China Association of University-run Industries has been successfully held for dozens of times, which has become an important platform for promoting national policies, sharing the practical and innovative experiences of university industrial workers, promoting the industrialisation of university science and technology, and displaying the excellent results of science and technology transfer and transformation, and is one of the most influential conferences in the field of university industries.
Luo Fangshu, party secretary and director of the Scientific Research and Development Centre for Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and chairman of China University Industry Association, Han Fang, standing committee member of the party committee and vice president of Sichuan University, and Lei Xiaoyun, vice president and secretary-general of China Patent Protection Association (former director of the Department of Utilisation and Promotion of the State Intellectual Property Office), attended the conference.More than 800 people attended the meeting, including member units from universities and colleges, asset companies, publishing houses, science and technology parks, technological innovation research and development and application departments, as well as representatives of enterprises in related industries.
China university school-run industry association held the same period of university scientific and technological achievements transformation and industrialisation academic seminar.Experts from the Research Centre of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Shandong University, South China University of Technology, Sichuan University, Southeast University, North Polytechnic University and other colleges and universities explained the relevant theoretical cognition in depth, and shared the cutting-edge progress of university-run industries and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the characteristics of the practical practice and relevant experience.The professional academic seminar provided new concepts and new ideas for the development of university-run industries and the industrialisation of science and technology.
At the seminar, Professor Zhao Jixin, Dean of School of Economics and Management, as the Chairman of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Professional Committee of China Association of University-run Industries, made a keynote report titled "Boosting Two-way Innovation through Collaboration between Universities and Enterprises and Developing New-Quality Productivity".He analysed the connotation of new quality productivity, total factor productivity and high-quality development, put forward the key work of accelerating the cultivation of new quality productivity, and elaborated on the work objectives, focus areas and directions of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee in the light of the three major development strategies, namely, science and technology, education and talents, so as to set up a platform for the two-way empowerment of the development of enterprises and colleges and universities.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of China Association of University-run Industries was initiated by our university and applied by enterprises and universities nationwide, and was formally established on 6 September 2024 in our university.The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee is committed to building a platform for collaborative innovation between universities and enterprises to promote scientific and technological innovation and the formation and development of new quality productivity through resource sharing, information interaction, project cooperation and talent exchange.At the same time, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee focuses on solving the pain points, difficulties and blockages in school-enterprise cooperation, improving the quality of high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship talent training, realising two-way empowerment of schools and enterprises, in order to promote the high-quality and sustainable development of member units, which is another important platform for the university to strengthen the cultivation of innovative and applied talents, and to serve the high-quality development of the economy and society.
