Department of business administration has been existed more than 30 years since its establish. It comprises variety programs such as undergraduate program (including the second bachelor and double bachelor), master program, and continuous education programs. The undergraduate program is majored in business administration, the master degree offers two programs, which are enterprise management and technology economy and management. The department owns several research institutions: High Technology Enterprise Development Research Center,which is under the administrative of the shcool, Management Research Center, research center for automobile industry innovation, knowledge management research center.
Currently, there are 25 faculties in the department of business administration, with 4 full professors and 12 associate professors. 19 faculties in our department have obtained doctoral degree from leading universities (5 of them have post-doctoral experiences); another 2 faculties are pursuing doctoral degree as well. The department has been awarded a lot of honors because of their contribution in teaching and research, such as Beijing Academic Innovation Talent, Beijing Renowned Teacher, 4 Beijing College Young and Middle-aged Backbone Teachers, 2 Outstanding Moral Educators among Beijing Universities, and one Beijing Academic Innovation Team. Several teachers serve as associate directors, managing directors, or member of councils in professional communities such as the Chinese Institute of Business Administration, Chinese Institute of Soft Science, China Marketing Association of University, Chinese Institute of Value Engineering, and China Marketing Association. The department also invites some government and business leaders as part-time teachers.
In recent years, faculties in department of business administration have published more than 300 research papers, including some impactful works appeared at top journal such asManagement World, China Soft Science, Management Review, Chinese Journal of Management, Science Research Management, Science of Science and Management of S.&T., and others. More than 50 papers have been cited by SSCI, SCI, EI, and ISTP. 30 text books has been published, 20 textbooks has been edited, and 3 foreign works have been translated. Faculties in the department have been granted 6 research projects by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 5 projects by Humanistic and Social Science Foundation of Ministry of Education, and participated in more than 50 state-level or ministry-level research projects. The bookHarmonious Development: Research on the Long-term Development Plans of Township Enterprises in Beijing Suburbswas awarded as The Tenth Outstanding Achievements of Philosophy and Social Sciences. Our department has been awarded Teaching Achievement Prizes at the Beijing Municipal Education. The textbookMarketing Managementwas awarded as Outstanding Textbook of Beijing Higher Education in 2006, and course of Marketing was honored as Beijing Higher Education Municipal Quality Course in 2009.
